Is developer.cumtd.com ever going to support SSL/TLS?

We currently have no plans to support SSL/TLS. If you don't mind me asking, why are you wanting SSL/TLS? Are you concerned about your key being stolen? Edited by user Wednesday, December 7, 2011 8:09:40 AM(UTC)

No, not at all. Just thought it would be a nicety to add to the Android client I'm working on!

Gotcha. Given the additional cost and the slower connections with SSL/TLS I doubt we'll ever support it. We don't really see a security concern with our API since all the information is publicly available and keys are given away freely. In the unlikely event that a key is ever stolen it's very easy for us to reissue a new one.
By the way, great to hear you're developing an Android App!

Yuup! I've been meaning to get familiar with the Android API, and the contest seemed like the perfect learning project! EDIT: I was thinking along the lines of using the Android device on public wifi, and not wanting eavesdroppers to know your plans and what not. Hey, just in case you're still looking for this feature or if anyone else stumbles across this, our API now supports SSL/TLS on both the XML and JSON interfaces. just replace the http with an https and you should be good to go.
