In the case that we win the challenge, will we be provided with a raising of our 1000 requests per hour limit? I feel like there might be some traffic problems if the app is advertised by MTD.

The request limit is in place to stop people from abusing the system by spamming it with unnecessary requests. We think that 1000 requests per hour will be plenty for most people. However, if you are using the API for legitimate purposes, and you begin to bump up against the request limit, we are certainly willing to look at upping it. This would be the case regardless of if you win the contest. Our policy is to increase request limits on an as-needed and as-requested basis, but we're certainly not opposed to doing so if it's justified. Edited by user Friday, December 9, 2011 1:53:30 PM(UTC)
